A Community Council acts as the voice for the local community, representing the views to local authorities and other public bodies operating in their area and otherwise act to further the interests of their community.
Kincorth/Leggart Community Council fulfils the above goal primarily through its monthly meetings held on the second Monday of each month, usually held at 6.30pm in Our Lady of Aberdeen, RC Church, Provost Watt Drive.  These meetings are usually open to the public and in fact we would be delighted to have more residents attending our meetings.  If you have an issue that you would like to raise at a meeting please contact us, using the contact details or complete the form on the “Get In Touch” page.  It would be useful if issues were raised two weeks before the meeting date.
Membership of the community council is open to any member of the public  over the age of 18 who lives in either Kincorth or Leggart and is on a volunteering basis.
Currently we have 8 members, elected from the local community.
Meetings are attended by local Aberdeen City Councillors and Police Scotland to answer and update the membership and residents on areas of concern in and around the locality.
Our current Chairman is Graham Bennett, Vice-chairman is Alan Chalmers, Treasurer is William Cowie, Father George Hutcheon is Planning Officer, Iris Bennett is Licensing Officer and Catherine Cowie is Secretary.
